Hewitson Miss Harry Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre 2022

Share

With time spent making wine in France, it’s fair to say that Dean Hewitson doesn’t mind mixing things up in both the vineyard and the winery. The GSM is a case in point. It sits below what some might see as the typical Barossa GSM. It’s medium bodied, celebrates fruit and structure rather than high alcohols and oak, and brings a delightful immediacy to the blend while retaining a level of seriousness. Red licorice, maraschino cherry, plum, black fruit scents delight with clove, pepper and chocolate. Boasts good depth and concentration together with a tensile freshness. Fine, savoury tannins support a lovely long length. This is one of those wines that the more you look, the more you see.
