Hewitson Ungrafted Grenache 2024

Share

Made from 110 year old Grenache vines. 9 months maturation in old French oak to maintain fruit purity.  Sits fragrant and darkly perfumed. Bluestone, gravel, iodine, crushed raspberry, baking spices and hints of umami truffle with Turkish bazaar intrigue. Savoury fruit profile, with serious old vine fruit. Calm and dark, the tannins fine and elegant, layering a long tail. Age worthy, but still approachable now. Great value.
