Holm Oak Estate Pinot Noir 2019

Holm Oak has always been a reliable source of well priced Tasmanian Pinot Noir made with fruit grown near the banks of the Tamar River. Winemaker Bec Duffy crafts wines that appeal thanks to their finesse and delicacy rather than sheer power.

Pale cherry red, this is a bright, fragrant and pretty pinot style showing stalky spice, wild strawberry and dried herbs aromas that are reserved and subtle. There is understated power that are also delivered on the on palate although more in the dark cherry spectrum supported by silky tannins before a lingering finish. This delicious pinot noir will drink well for another five years but is already at its peak. Drink up with mushroom risotto.
