Henschke Peggy’s Hill Riesling 2025

Share

This is lifted and bright Eden Valley Riesling, hitting all of the regional markers well. Lime, wet stone, lemon peel and citrus blossom make up the core with pretty jasmine and cinnamon spice beneath. There are subtle tropical tones with allusions of pineapple husk and lychee, possibly ester-related and very subtle. The palate follows suit with a bright, citrus-drenched and bone-dry aesthetic and good mouth-filling intensity. Lime, jasmine, lemon juice and cinnamon apple slosh around the mouth before a firm cut of citrusy acidity washes it all down to a fresh and bright finish. Lots of thirst-slaking appeal here, and a lot of wine for $28.
