Holm Oak Hot Shot Pinot Noir 2022

Share

A blend of 777, D4V2 and MV6 percentages vary depending on seasonal variations. Basket pressed to French oak of which 50% was new for 14 months. A fine and lithe wine in the cool vintage, with some twiggy herb and cranberry and red cherry fruit. Once again Bec and Tim work together to capture the delightful florals of their fruit, a real feature of their Pinot Noir range. The palate shows rooibos, tea tree oils and tobacco leaf. Some cured pastrami and black pepper savoury notes. Acidity is high and drives the wine forward, tannins fairly powdery.  This is a wine for cutting through richer meats. A stroganoff perhaps. Drink now or cellar for another 3 years.
