Howard Park Arbor Novae Syrah 2024

Share

A great Margaret River Syrah for people beginning to understand the nuance of wine without overthinking it. Lead pencil, dark chocolate-coated liquorice and wild blackberries at their peak. It’s Novae, yes: bright, plummy and juicy, but equally intriguing and bloody. In the mouth, mulberry, tart black plum skin and a crack of pepper. Tannins are grainy and integrated, gripping late and framing the finish. It briefly wanders into roasted gum nut territory before landing on crushed gravel and iron ore. The kind of girl who wears loud prints and kitten heels, and would absolutely smash you at Scrabble.
