Howard Park Arbor Novae Syrah 2024

Share

Lead pencil, dark chocolate-coated liquorice and wild blackberries at their peak. It’s Novae, yes: bright, plummy and juicy, but equally intriguing and ferrous. Savoury. Earth. Bloody. In the mouth, mulberry and tart black plum skins take over. A case of pepper for seasoning. Tannins are grainy and integrated, gripping late and framing the finish. Wandering briefly into roasted gum nut territory. The finish brings crushed gravel and iron ore. Breezy, but indulgent. The kind of girl that wears loud prints and kitten heels, and will smash anyone at scrabble. This Margaret River Syrah really is a  great option for people starting to understand the nuances of with without over thinking things.
