Juniper Cornerstone Wilyabrup Chardonnay 2021

This wine is beautifully pitched with exceptional winemaking to triumph in a cool season. Made with largely Burgundian clone 95 fruit with Gingin making up the remainder, it is a masterful blend with the more savoury and highly complex clone 95 aromas well backed by sweeter Gingin nuances. It opens with precise yet reserved aromas of melon, lemon rind and oatmeal with touches of pineapple – a generous base of oak already well integrated. The palate is a picture of acid-driven composure with youthful citrus flavour bound up tightly and lifted by gentle doughy, praline complexity with a flinty edge. Outstanding length and balance round out a superb package.
