Kirkton Estate The Eliza Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Share

Cassis, boysenberry and prune plums. Mocha, crushed allspice and clove. Split wood fire logs, wet leather and ash. Quite succulent with mulberry juice and hints of raspberry on the palate. Tannins are sappy and dry with a good wash of fresh acidity. Unique in its shape, the wine shows off the Barossa Cabernet to great appeal. There is the added zeal of brightness of fruit that sits the wine in a more modern era. Drinking well now and will cellar 3-8 years. This is quite drinkable all on its own and would make a beef brisket pie, a meal to remember.
