Kirrihill E.B Gleeson ‘The Peacemaker’ Cabernet Shiraz 2018

Share

Lots of incredible history here. The E.B. Gleeson Collection is named after Edward Burton Gleeson, the original founder of the Clare Valley. Cabernet is 60% of the blend and 40% is made up shiraz. A great example of an iconic Aussie blend; I used to love selling wine from this category when I worked the floor in restaurants. The cabernet brings the florals, acidity and tannins – violets and potpourri, and the riper blackcurrant undertones. Shiraz add plumpness and mouth puckering dark red fruit and pepper spice.
