Tahbilk Marsanne Museum Release 2014

If you are immersing yourself in a journey through the iconic wines of Australia this should be a compulsory pitstop. The winery was founded in 1860 and marsanne is their speciality. This wine is truly showcasing its full potential with great concentration and an exceptional level of complexity, the latter purely achieved through bottle age.

Aromas of beeswax, toast and grilled pineapple capture the attention first, but there is still a great deal of apricot and lemon zest. The palate is warm and enveloping with cumquat marmalade, spiced quince and a lovely nuttiness, nonetheless fresh.

Three more reasons you should buy this wine and drink it more often:

  • It can be aged easily for another 8 to 10 years
  • The winery has been carbon neutral since 2012
  • It’s an absolute bargain
