Kirrihill Watervale Vineyard Selection Series Riesling 2025

Share

This shows a distinctly mineral character from the outset, with crushed slate intricately weaving through lime pith, citrus blossoms, kumquat, lemon peel and green apple skin. It’s a pretty, high-toned and pure expression of Watervale Riesling. On the palate, there’s ample zesty texture that wraps around a bright core of citrus — lemon in water, lime pith again, and a tangy green apple skin note. A persistent drive of bright acidity draws the floral elements through a fresh and lively citrus-laden finish. While the mid-palate concentration feels a little light, it promises to flesh out further with bottle age. At this accessible $35 price point, it delivers lovely brightness, purity and freshness, making for a charming and approachable Riesling.
