Knee Deep Birdhouse Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Maturation for this fine Margaret River Cabernet, which is from one of the region’s most exciting vintages on record, was in French oak barrels. A maroon hue with a garnet rim, the nose reveals earthy notes with chocolate, blackberries, vanilla, kirsch, aniseed, smoked meats, cloves, beef stock and soy. The wine is of medium length with a lingering finish, and a bright line of acidity through to satiny tannins. This will drink beautifully for at least the next eight years, longer if you wish.
