Krondorf 121 Settlers Old Vine Shiraz 2022

There have been some quite exceptional wines from this vintage out of the Barossa, and this one lands smack bang in the middle of them. It’s sourced from very old Barossa vines and immediately strikes with that compelling Barossa combination of blackberry and plum, with a lift of earthy spices and a touch of mocha. Floral notes emerge on the palate and then hints of ironstone and flint emerge. Perfectly poised, elegantly structured, and immensely powerful. Good times ahead in the cellar, but very approachable even now.
