Lange Estate Fifth Generation Cabernet 2023

From the Frankland River region, this is excellent buying. A deep maroon hue, there are concentrated aromas here, led by enticing dark berries, blackcurrants and cassis, supported by smoked meats, bay leaves and coffee grinds. A supple palate leading to satiny tannins, this is a wine of medium length with a gentle lingering finish. Really good value, this should drink impressively over the next five to eight years.
