While many people won’t be familiar with the Lawley Farm label, it has a bit of pedigree as it houses the wines from Trent Burge, son of Barossa legend Grant Burge. And the wine has the Burge stamp all over it – ripe, generous and plush fruits, and made for drinking pleasure.
This is a modern Barossa Style – there is fleshy cocoa and blackberry fruits – with a touch of tar and baked earth. The palate is then dry, full-bodied, rich and bold yet with supple tannins. It’s admirable concentration and length finish off what is a delicious package.
