Another terrific Chardonnay from Lenton Brae, assembled from the best barrels of both new and seasoned oak. Texture and complexity have been built through regular lees stirring, while freshness and vibrancy have been preserved by avoiding malolactic fermentation. It contains a lower proportion of gin gin clone than the Southside Chardonnay, resulting in a greater contribution from Burgundian clones. The result is a wine of elegance and style, with a fine, precise and focused palate showing minerality, subtle stone fruit richness and notes of brioche and lemon curd. A lovely final flick of acidity completes the package. Excellent wine.
