L’Expression du Pinot Gris 2020

You do not often find Pinot Gris in the South of France but maybe that’s about to change with some canny winemakers now doing their best to jump on the Italian Pinot Grigio train, although this wine has a bit more flavour and weight than the traditional Italian style. Mid straw in colour this is a pretty example of this variety with gently aromatic smoky pear and floral aromas with quite a generous level of flavour. It’s then dry, fresh and tangy with juicy acidity and a little bit of grip to finish. A super aperitif or to enjoy with Hors-d’oeuvres.
