Longview Macclesfield Grüner Veltliner 2022

An excellent wine starting to show the influence of mature vines which are now about 12 years old. Longview was one of the pioneering vineyards for this Austrian variety and this one is made from free run juice with a small return of lees to add mid-palate texture. It works a treat. There is that spicy citrus aroma on the nose and then the palate delvers a textural feel that takes this variety into another zone. As good an example of this grape that I have tasted in Australia.
