Fabrizio Vella Rosso Organico 2020

A very good value introduction to natural wine here from Sicily and made from the local Nero d’Avola grape variety which has a delicious brightness of energetic fruits. Medium ruby in colour, it opens with a riot of dark berry fruits – cherry, mulberry and just picked blackberries. That bright and fresh style then continues on the palate joined with a spicy, violet-infused lift and well supported by mouth-coating tannins. It’s surprisingly firm but it all sits nicely in a complete package. No doubt well suited to Spanish Tapas, you could also chill it down for sipping in the sun.
