Nothing is spared in this traditional Barossa cabernet sauvignon. Opens with a mix of cherry and leafy blackcurrant on the nose. There’s a slightly Cherry Ripe character that is appealing. The palate has a dry, savoury thread with the oak and tannin management excellent. This is all American oak with about 75% new, so it gets a fair whack. After fermentation it stays for 29 months in oak. The power and weight of the fruit takes the oak easily, achieving balance. It’s generous, full bodied and a power laden flavour pack.
