Raspberry leaf, blood-and-bone mix, pink peppercorns and red liquorice. I like it. It’s a joyous, well-made wine. And just like the other wines from Luda Mala’s first-ever release, it overdelivers. Made with old oak, the intention is fruit over artefact, and that’s immediately clear. Delicate, pristine mulberries, cherry juice and salami spices. It’s well put together, clean, and leads with deliciousness above all else. The tannins frame firmly, the fruit drives through, and the finish is long and savoury with purple basil leaves and dark fruits. A very solid wine.
