MadFish Gold Turtle Mount Barker Riesling 2019

Share

The Great Southern is home to juicy, acid driven riesling thanks to the Great Southern Ocean and the weather that drives up from Antarctica to give this part of Australia a very unique climate.

This wine is a little unusual for the region, in a good way. It is crisp and fresh but also flavoursome and ripe with layers of citrus and pear fruits with a floral edge. It is beautifully balanced – silky and pure in the mouth – the fresh acidity and fruits finely balanced showing spicy complexity and a pure, clean and long finish. Great value if you manage to pick it up at a sharp price.
