Mayford John Warwick Chardonnay 2019

This is the second time I have tried these wines. Interestingly, my notes and scores were nearly the same. The first time I was lucky enough to be visiting the Alpine Valleys and met with Eleana. What a picturesque spot nestled in the Alpine Valleys, so beautiful and lovely to meet the winemaker and hear her story. The wine is lovely and fine with thoughtful oak use seen by vanilla and cedar notes with mid palate weight. A leaner cool style quite like the valley where the vines are found, which opens up on the mid palate to baking spices, yeasty lees notes and white stone fruit. Precise acid adds zing with a slippery mealy finish.
