Meredith Grampians Top Shelf Grenache 2023

Share

I haven’t had too many Grenache from the Grampians region, but they make a nice counterpoint to the big and burly examples you often find in much warmer climes. The Top Shelf, like the name suggests, is classy, with abundant characters of raspberry, strawberry, black pepper, red cherry and spice, with a touch of earthiness coming through from a bit of bottle age. The palate is silky and mellifluous, and, with some air, everything gels nicely to make a really solid drop.
