Almost instantly recognisable as a Clare Valley Shiraz with its running thread of eucalyptus and generosity of Shiraz fruit. Mighty enjoyable, to boot. Sweet berry fruit scents and spice light up the aroma. Lots of ripe flavour to explore, from the blue fruits, cassis and black berries built on a foundation of cinnamon, anise and toasted spice to the woody spiced oak and chocolate, and a thread of bay leaf/eucalyptus that lasts the distance. Tannins are brisk, acidity is bright.
