Mon Tout Strange Love Rosé 2025

The Mon Tout range emphasises chosen names, such as ‘Strange Love’, rather than grape varieties, as a way of challenging the idea that we perceive the grape before we taste the wine. When it comes to Rosé, we tend to judge by colour, which is not, in fact, an indicator of sugar – though I would love for the average drinker to understand this. This Rosé leads with nostalgic strawberry-cream, but it is layered with mandarin oil, pear, Turkish delight and white strawberry. In the mouth, it is fresh, with framing acidity and a chalky grip. Lemon skin, white strawberry and apple seed follow, the latter potentially coming from one parcel seeing oak. This is a very serious Rosé, with thoughtful winemaking and a juiciness that can only be matched by good gossip and indiscreet friends.
