Monterra McLaren Vale Shiraz 2020

Baked blackberries and stewed plums open with hints of mocha, red clay and mushrooms while a subtle dried thyme and vanilla pod spice wafts through the background. Sweeter baking spices come through with a plush acidity and soft tannins. Drinking well now, this is a wine for couch surfing and sport watching, it’s about pleasure and relaxation. Throw in some paprika crisps and you have a Sunday afternoon made.
