Mount Langi Ghiran Mast Shiraz 2021

Share

Matured in a mix of French barriques and hogsheads for 16 months of which 45% was new. Blackberries, blueberries and plums with a hint of Mulberry stem. Then there is the unmistakable and richly layered Nyon olive flesh with dollops of kalamata tapenade throughout. A slinky palate with silken tannins and astute acidity, the wine slithers down the palate with ease and shows a nutmeg and savoury cured meat finish. An aftershock of just ripe red fruit makes an appearance too, rhubarb and sarsaparilla spice. Totally delectable and worth every penny. Drink now and will cellar for another 3-6 years. A perfect wine for gamey meats and traditional root vegetables roasted in the oven.
