Mt Bera Vineyards Ebullient Pinot Noir Cuvée Sparkling 2023

Share

Let’s be clear this is a sparkling red wine made with Pinot Noir. It’s elegant but dark glass bottle and name might trick you up. Don’t let that put you off because inside is a sweetly scented fizz of Bing cherries, sandalwood and persimmons. Acidity lifts the wine, its pinotesque fine tannins continue and you are left with a fairly dry taut finish. This is quite the character driven wine and a welcome addition to the dining table, think along the line of prosciutto wrapped grissini starters  or even a whole baked snapper main. It’s not quite what you were expecting, in fact it’s more stimulating and for that I commend it.
