Wonderfully taut and fresh belying its five years in bottle. Citrus salt, lime pith, and an aldehydic nuance of ripe apple and grilled nuts. Very saline. There’s a chalky drive through the palate that melds beautifully with fennel, lemon pith, finger lime and white florals. Some gentle phenolic grip to the finish, which is wonderfully focused and mineral. A complex and beguiling example of this relatively obscure grape variety.
