Mt. Bera Wild & Free Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2024

Share

Such florals as you rarely get to enjoy in an Adelaide Hills Shiraz and they come side by side with lively spice and aromatic red fruits. It’s a different experience to the usual, no doubt the result of a vintage in which yields were down, but the flavours are exciting. Aromas of pressed flowers and violet with spice and peppery influenced cherry, raspberries and red berries. Those lifted peppery notes continue on the palate which has plenty of bounce courtesy of fresh acidity and brisk tannins. There is a light herbal leafiness to the wine and, together with red fruits, lifted peppery notes and spice, it’s one medium-bodied, elegant and energised young red.
