There is a noticeable perfume of Mediterranean edibles here, flecks of Abequina olives, red pepper and dried thyme and oregano. Berries are crimson with redcurrant and blood plum. Bottle age is more noticeable on the palate with traces of mocha and creamy woven oak spice, cinnamon and espresso. This is in a solid place for a Adelaide Hills 7 year bottling and still captures the fine red berry and underlying savoury network of earthy things that you would expect from the Hills. At the asking price it is a steal, drink now with sweet spiced meat like Goulash or Mongolian beef. Cellar further for 2-3 years.
