Nannup Estate Rolling Hills Malbec 2019

Malbec, a constant blending tool in the red winemaker’s armoury – is increasingly stepping out on its own. It’s great to see, especially when you get to enjoy – as we do here – a wine of both generosity and immediate drinkability. No waiting time required. Boasts plentiful flower and herbs as well as fruit. Aromas of sage, cinnamon, baking spices, red plum, black cherry and the prettiest fragrant florals of violet and iris. Sets the scene well for what follows with a balanced, mouth-filling wine. Not modest in alcohol (14%), what you taste is sweet fruited and soft-hearted with just a touch of savouriness and black pepper zip to finish. Quite a charmer.
