Newblood Non-Alcoholic Chardonnay 2019

Share

So now we are stepping into the world of Non-Alcoholic wines. Firstly alcohol adds plenty to wine, giving texture and it also helps to carry flavour, not to mention the alcohol kick. So these are some quite large differences so non-alcoholic wines are never going to taste exactly the same as your traditional chardonnay and so are judged somewhat differently.

What we are looking for is good flavour and complexity, and this wine has both. It is pale gold in colour which is followed by the peachy, citrus fruits that you’d expect in chardonnay at this price. There is also spicy oak in the mix and decent fruit length. It has some sweetness that gives texture but it fits well with the wine. This is one of the better non-alcoholic chardonnays going round and is probably best enjoyed straight out of the fridge.
