This sensational Chardonnay is the product of an exceptional vintage and excellent fruit sourcing from this vineyard. Conditions were almost ideal with a long and cool growing season bringing the fruit to perfect condition. Hand harvested and then pressed straight into puncheons for natural fermentation. Then another 10 months on fermentation lees in oak before finishing with six months of lees in tank. It’s really allowed the fruit and oak to integrate creating a wine of finesse, purity and complexity. Slightly nutty minerally combination on the nose with a hint of struck match. The palate is deeply intense and extraordinarily long with a dry savoury flinty finish supported by fine balanced acidity which adds the final kick.
