Parched Crow Chardonnay 2023

Share

Hunter Chardonnay can sometimes slip under the radar, yet when it does well, it’s a particularly fine wine. This is fine and almost delicate, yet with a deep, lingering intensity. There’s a tropical fruit–cashew combination emerging on the nose with a lemon zest edge. The palate has a slightly creamy texture, but it’s held tight and controlled with fine acidity and some nice influence of new French oak puncheons. I really enjoy drinking this style of wine when it’s young, yet it has everything to handle some cellaring over the next 10 years. Most attractive style.
