Paxton Sangiovese 2022

Winemaker, Ashleigh Seymour once told me (in perfect Italian) that she has worked a few years in Italy, particularly Tuscany. I can clearly see this in here. Polished cranberries and red cherries lifted by a touch of VA a l’Italiana. Following brewed tea leaves, sage and thyme, pomegranate, rhubarb and a note of exotic vanilla. On the palate, a seamless integration of tannins, slowly building but persistent, and acidity, juicy and welcoming. Tuscan Renaissance meets McLaren Vale’s generosity.
