Penfolds Magill Estate Shiraz 2019

Share

Made from a single vineyard on the historic Magill Estate, now located in the suburbs of Adelaide, the dry, warm 2019 vintage is on display here again with this wine’s deep colour and ripe core of luscious fruits. Lashings of kirsch and blackberry are topped by an attractive dusting of dried herbs and spice adding delightful complexity. This is followed by a dry and quite fleshy palate, although firm drying tannins provide strong structure under a core of sweet jubey fruits. Tannins though are a little heavy and chewy, and need some time to settle.
