Pewsey Vale The Contours Riesling 10-Year Museum Release 2015

Share

When I saw this wine in the tasting line-up, I couldn’t wait to get my mitts on it, and from the first aromas, it certainly didn’t disappoint. It is a wonderful example of a mature Riesling that demonstrates the glorious beauty of Eden Valley when it comes to aged Rieslings. The striking feature is, despite the 10 years, it still shows a high degree of primary lemony floral notes with that slightly minerally bath salts character. Just a faint hint of toasty marmalade, but it’s hardly entered that phase. It’s only just dipped a toe in the water with crisp, fine acidity and a very long finish. Absolutely superb.
