Pikes Il Premio Reserve Sangiovese 2021

This is a tiny production Sangiovese from the Pikes’ Polish Hill River Estate. It’s medium bodied but with excellent fruit concentration of cherry with a little lifted raspberry. The tannin structure is an important part of getting the most from this variety and in this case the slight savouriness sits perfectly. A super wine with Italian dishes as you might imagine.
