Pizzini Pavona Pinot Grigio 2025

Share

A relatively new entrant to the Pizzini Pinot Grigio range, Pavona is made from fruit grown from a vineyard situated under Power’s Lookout. Henry Power was a bushranger, famed for teaching Ned Kelly the ropes, and for having a peacock (‘Pavona’ in Italian) that warned of approaching intruders or police. The cool climate fruit showcases bright aromas of white blossoms, crisp green pears and zesty lemons and limes. Ultra crisp and fresh in the mouth; it’s almost Riesling-like in its citrus intensity. 50% is fermented In old oak barrels to build a lovely citrus pith texture. An elegant Pinot Grigio that is a winner with salt and pepper calamari.
