Pyren Vineyards Cabernet 2022

From the Pyrenees region, a fine source of cooler climate reds, this is impressive stuff. Deep maroon in colour, the nose is all smoked meats, bay leaves, black fruits, dried herbs, warm earth and cigar box notes. An exciting savoury style with eight to ten years ahead of it. The wine shows attractive concentration, good focus, juicy acidity, sleek tannins, excellent balance and a lingering finish. A well-crafted Cab which will more than repay time in the cellar.
