Quilty & Gransden Chardonnay 2019

Purity and elegance on the nose with lemon zest and a flinty minerality. There is some subtle oak contributing just a hint of vanilla meringue. A little more swirling reveals fresh hay and ripe Beurre Bosc pear. The fruit is riper on the palate with fresh-from-the-tree apricots. A hint of nutty almond meal shows in both flavour and texture, balanced by a zesty acidity. One of the best value Chardonnays in Australia – I’m calling it. Drink it with a fragrant spring vegetable risotto topped with a ‘healthy’ dose of freshly shaved pecorino.
