Richard Hamilton Lot 148 Merlot 2022

Lot 148 was the family’s first vineyard way back in the day. From what was a very good year, this is a Merlot of some style. The nose captures the reds of fruits of raspberry and mulberry augmented with a slightly earthy ironstone character. It works well. The palate is medium-bodied but concentrated, revealing expressive fruits sprinkled with spices. It’s a vibrant and lively wine with the fine chalky tannins directing through to the sustained finish.
