Ripe mulberries, freshly shaved timber and a touch of courtliness. Lush and well-structured, It would absolutely hold a door open for its lovers. It feels settled; soft and proud in the glass. With time, that classic regional savoury edge emerges: bay leaf, summer gum nuts, ironstone. The palate hints at fullness but leans elegant and fresh. Black plum skins, crushed sweet cherries, charred logs. Tannins grip late, adding architecture and backbone to the ripe fruit. An oak cocoon layers in more savoury depth, courtesy of 15 months in 100% new French oak. Take it to Gran’s, the rodeo, or a drag show- it’s very versatile. I’d wait a decade before cracking it- but please, choose your own adventure.
