Riposte The Foil Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Sourced from higher Hills territory in the Piccadilly and Carey Gully districts, accentuating the already cooler seasonal characters that are apparent here. The fragrance is attractive – lemon/ lime juices, crunchy, almost green pineapple rather than overtly passionfruit tropicals, with a breath of lemon scented gum in the background. The palate leans to a gastronomic sourness rather than more commercial sweet styling, which makes for a tasteful table companionship rather than simple sunset drinking. A finishing spice note adds to that even further with a lingering, salivating end note.
