Tim and Nick Knappstein’s portfolio of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir is worth taking note of – seriously, for value at one end (The Dagger/ $24) to this delightful expression with its floral, almost heady fragrance, aromatic herbs like sage and thyme top noting cherry pie like flavours, with a spritely palate structure, juicy and enticing acidity, neatly comforted with stick tannins that carry the flavour line and fruit notes out the window and into the distance. Absolutely delicious from the outset.
