Rob Dolan Signature Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Bottle 0255 of 2370. Drinking beautifully, with the freshness of juicy fruit leaning towards the beginning of tertiary characteristics. Dripping with mulberries, ripe black and red cherries, cocoa dust and dense yet fine dark chocolatey spice. Tiny hints of crushed aniseed and a little tar, with library notes of leather-bound books starting to develop.  Fleshy and juicy on the palate, the acid lifts through the fruit, offering a fine frame for it to hang on. Pretty purple florals whisper through too. Tannins are soft and melt around the edges but remain firm at their core. Silky and morish, juicy and luscious, it provides mid-length immediate pleasure now for fireside drinking at the tail end of winter. Drink now to 2026.
