Sordo Barolo Parussi 2017

Share

As expected from this vineyard within the commune of Castiglione Falletto, this is a darker and richer variation on the Nebbiolo varietal theme, floral but not in a perfumed sense, more bush like, wild flower and leaf. The fruit notes are darker, and might one say “sweeter”, but more in feel that sugary ripeness. Meanwhile, there’s some decent action going on behind the scenes, tannins adding grip to fruit acidity, the epitome of palate structure. A big wine in a Barolo context, providing some familiarity to those used to richer styled reds.
