There’s almost something magical about a nice GSM, the mélange of aromas and flavours, with the characteristics of each grape complementing and contrasting each other. I was struck first by the tangy, sweet-scented boysenberry note, supported by red cherry, strawberry, blackberry and pretty violets, with a hint of shoe polish and dark chocolate now starting to develop. This is a juicy, bright-fruited wine that’s incredibly tasty by itself but also enriches and is enriched by pairing with food.
